In 2012, we traveled to the Itkillik valley for 10 days. Here we set up a base camp with about 25 dogs. Thomas and Megan, who had helped us out a great deal all season, came along and brought some of their family. We were lucky to secure a years’ worth of caribou meat and got the chance to train our young leaders at running in open country without a trail to follow. Best Arctic trip yet!
